Omaka Aviation Heritage Centre

For the aviation enthusiasts or not, a visit to the Amazing Omaka Aviation Heritage Centre to view the vintage planes is an absolute must and only 5 minutes away. Said to have the largest private collection of World War 1 planes and memorabilia in the world, there is something for everyone, young and old. Art and Craft Trail

Visit Blenheim's art and craft trail which has more than 30 Marlborough craftspeople, including weavers, artists, silk painters, bone carvers, dried flower arrangements, potters and sculptors. The town has two art galleries, as well as a number of public parks and gardens. Home of the Green-shelled Mussel

The port of Picton is 25 minutes away and is set in an upper reach of the Queen Charlotte Sound where the Interisland ferries depart and arrive and is a stopover for overseas cruise ships. Another nearby port, Havelock is famous for its green-shelled mussels and is well worth a stop for a gentle stroll and a taste of the world famous greenshell mussel.
